I now cannot work on my development, which, as a small business person, is the primary source of my income, which is not a lot, i.e., I just barely get by pretty much one month to the next. I am also having other issues with the fall creator update, but I can work around most of them for a while (hoping Microsoft will fix sometime soon), but I can't work around this one. It keeps saying it can't find the msi file in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp and copying and trying to install that file from a different location didn't work either. I still got the same error and ran into additional unrelated problems t'boot, so I reinstalled the update.Īlso, I tried to reinstall VirtualBox (both before and after the rollback and reinstall of the update), but it will not reinstall. A day or so later, I installed the same update on my main system (on which VirtualBox is installed). I keep a backup of the vdi drive and it allows me to avoid conflicts between my compiler and other software, which has proven a frequent problem in the past.Īnyhow, I installed the new fall creator update inside VirtualBox and it seemed to be working fine. ![]() I am using VirtualBox for desktop software development with Windows 10. Hi, I'm new to the forum and not very sophisticated about VirtualBox, so am hoping someone can help me.
