![]() First off, the $69.95 for the pro version of Fidelizer was worth the investment for my audio system. The converter can process data up to 41.8 X 1024, so there is still enough air left to go up. My computer (CPU alone) now manages a resolution of 4 X DSD vs. Of course, this is no substitute for a new stronger graphics card, but for now it’s the best and cheapest solution. So I came across the Fidelizer program and - taadaaah - the HQPlayer plays “at the next level”. All “shelves” are empty and my piggy bank too…. Now the moon prices come into play, which are demanded lately for Nvidia cards, if you can buy them at all. According to the HQPlayer manual, a computing power greater than 5 is required, but my card can only do 3. Problem: I could offload some of the computations to the Nvidia card GPU if, yes if it had enough computing power. Makes itself sonically very leasantly noticeable. As you can imagine a lot of computing power helps a lot, especially since the converter (Denafrips Pontus) also processes DSD. (personally I take care of setting up audio systems and customizing systems on request). Summary: Daphile is not worth the effort. It should be better tested audiophile optimizer (I haven’t tried it). favor of Daphile: dedicated audio environment. it would be better with an audio streamer player that has quality components than NOT a mini pc (this is obvious with the DAC but the USB output of the pc, which should be isolated from the charging function, cost: 300 euros or more). WI_FI wired network, identical: audio DEFECTS. (the same cannot be said of DAPHILe who works blindly, not being able to drive the players nor really know how they work and how they have been designed (changes to the wave signal). FIDELIZER PRO: the TOP at the moment It is NOT possible to create a dedicated environment and we rely on CORE isolation with EXCELLENT function: LINEAR natural harmonics output, you can feel sensibilmtne SILENCE AND that the windows processes do not INTERACT in the audio: natural sound never heard in a windows environment. It is first to listen to Spotify (IDENTICAL philosophy and mobile use). I rip my CD’s with Exact Audio Copy at high setting.Īs always I find the flaw: NOT natural sound. (I only use the htpc for audio and set Fidelizer to very strict settings) btw I am not sponsored by Fidelizer :), I use JRiver as player using ASIO as protocol. There are very expensive dedicated audiophile pc’s but with Fidelizer and the DDC I think those are not necessary. Guess the DDC can only correct partially. To me that is proof that the output of the pc is a crucial part of the chain. Yesterday I got the new key and lo and behold, the sound really improved so much. Last week I installed a new htpc and when I tried to install Fidelizer I couldn’t since the key is specifically for every installed copy. With a DDC, jitterbugs and Fidelizer the sound that comes out of the DAC is wonderful. I have been playing music from my htpc for years and I really like the sound. But new people who buy the program fresh would get the full count for downloads.Like mentioned in other posts here, in time delivery of the data to the dac is of the utmost importance. Can't be that hard, can it? Why isn't there a sticky called "Installing The Upgrade" to go right along with "How DO I Upgrade"? So what IS the procedure to install the upgrade, is there a simple outline i can follow without reading a large bunch of forum posts?Įven though I only have 2 computers, i noticed after i bought the upgrade from MC20 to MC21, the downloads for the new license still are counting down. So I figured I would look for "How Do I Install The Upgrade". But it only deals with prices, pricing, and costs. I don't think I should have to be asking any questions and i am willing to bet the questions I have are already answered. I think the upgrade needs to be a little more informative.
